Reset Interview Question Answers

This article covers resetting a single question, multiple questions, and what to do when a question has already been scored.

Resetting a Single Answer

  1. Select the relevant activity.  
  2. Search for the candidate you want to reset, then select Review.  
  3. In the top toolbar, click Questions “?” to open the Questions panel.  
  4. In the Reset column, tick the box next to the question you want to clear.  
  5. Click Reset answer at the bottom of the panel.  
  6. The answer will be permanently deleted and the candidate will be able to re-record.  
  7. You will then be prompted to extend the deadline. Choose to extend if required, or click the “x” to close the panel if an extension is not needed.

Resetting Multiple Answers

Follow the same steps as above, but tick the box next to each questions you want to clear. The button at the bottom will update to Reset answers. Click this and confirm when prompted.

Important

  • Resetting an answer is permanent and cannot be undone.  
  • If a question already has a score or rating, it cannot be reset from this page.
  • To request this, email support@shortlister.com and include the question number(s) and confirmation that you agree to permanently delete the existing score or rating.
